My sick baby big girl

 My poor baby big girl started running a high fever Monday afternoon.  I took her to the doctor Tuesday morning and he thinks it is just a virus.  I don't think Claire is ever going to hit 20 lbs.  She had been 19.5 at her 2 year old check up, but our active girl is back down to 19 lbs.  As you know Claire is go go go all day, it is very unusual for her to fall asleep on the couch.

When Claire was feeling a little better she wanted to help me make dinner.  After I cut the cheese she did a great job putting it in the macaroni and cheese pan.  As of today, Friday, she is fever free, but very very cranky and tired.  

4 weeks

Charlotte Brooke is 4 weeks old today. . . to celebrate she slept the best she has her entire life.  3 hours, 2,5 hours and then 3 hours, it was wonderful.

Stork

Look what the stork dropped off for Claire.  

1st bath

 We gave Charlotte her 1st bath on Thursday.  Her umbilical cord came off at 10 days.  Charlotte's new name is Piglet.  She eats 24/7.  On several occasions she has eaten so much she's puked.  Yesterday she puked in my hair. . . that was fun!  Claire never puked.  

Charlotte had her 2 week check up Friday and did great.  She's already surpassed her birth weight and grown an inch and a half.  She now weighs 7 lbs 5.5 oz and 21 inches long.  She doesn't have to revisit the doctor until she's 2 months old.  

Cozy

 Charlotte likes to nap all curled up in her boppy pillow. . . of course her favorite thing to do is eat.  This child wants to eat 24/7.  She's a little piggy!

 Look at all of that hair. . . it took Claire well over a year to have that much hair.  

1 week old

 Claire likes to bring her sister toys.  

 Charlotte loved Claire's Cabbage patch doll.  First she held hands with the doll and then she tried to eat the baby's head.  

 Then Charlotte got a little bit cranky.

Chocolate Chip pancakes

Claire had chocolate chip pancakes for the first time yesterday morning. . . needless to say she loved them.  She of course ate all of the chocolate chips out of the pancakes first before eating the rest.  Claire kept calling them "ninnie pancakes,"  which translates to cookie pancakes.  No clue why she calls a cookie a "ninnie."  She can say the word cookie.  

Baby Smiles

Charlotte spent yesterday afternoon smiling in her sleep.  I was excited to capture one of them.
