Mail Call

 Claire helps me check the mail everyday.  I usually give her a piece of junk mail to play with, but yesterday there was an envelope with Claire's name on it.  I know the top picture is blurry but look at the happiness on Claire's face when she opened her get well soon card from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bowlby.  

 As Claire was "reading" her card, completely unprompted by me, she started kissing the bear in the card.  It was soooo sweet.  

 How cute is this, the fuzzy bear pops out when you open the the card.  It brightened Claire's day.   Thanks for sending it!!!! As for Claire's health she had her follow up appointment today.  She weighed in at a whopping 16 pounds!!!!  Her ears are much better than last week but still not cleared up all the way.  We have to really hope that she doesn't get a cold again because the doctor said they would probably flair back up.  

 In other Claire news, Claire's mean parents have taken away her bottle and Claire is less than thrilled.  She refuses to drink any milk out of her sippy cup.  She feels the sippy is only for water.  We started this process Sunday afternoon and as of Tuesday night she hasn't given in yet.  It is so sad watching her scream and cry for her, "bah, bah,bah, bah."  Then she takes me to where the bottles used to be and gets very confused that they aren't there anymore.  Claire is one strong willed little girl and the doctor said it could take 2 weeks for her to finally give up and drink from her sippy.  I hate being the mean mommy, but I know it is for the best.

 Oh and Claire is in love with her baby, she is always in tow.
