Duck
After the farm birthday party Saturday, our dirty little munchkin needed a bath.
During her bath, Claire decided it was time for a new word. She picked up her yellow duck, handed it to me and said, "duck!"
Stella's birthday party
Saturday we went to Claire's friend Stella's 3rd birthday party. It was at a farm and each child got a red cowboy hat with their name on it.
Stella's mommy tried to take a picture of each child with their hat on (this picture is from Stella's blog).
Claire and the birthday girl were very interested in the cat that was roaming around the farm.
This was Claire's type of party. The food included Chick fil a nuggets, blueberries and cake!
Stella's mom Amber (who I used to work with) did a great job setting up the picnic area. It was very authentic with glass bottles.
Claire drank from a straw for the first time.
Her favorite part of the party though, was getting to pet a horse. She wasn't scared at all and kept calling it "Jack, Jack."
Claire was overjoyed when she spotted a kitty, she just kept pointing and walking closer.

15 months
I can't believe our little munchkin is 15 months old. It's funny when I play with her I almost forget that she is a baby. She interacts with you like a big girl and understands what you say. Then something doesn't go her way, or she gets tired and I am reminded that she is still my little baby. Claire is very sweet and loves to give hugs and kisses. She waves at everyone and expects them to do the same. She loves animals, especially dogs. She has learned what the camera is and points to it when I ask if she wants me to take her picture. She's a really good eater and willing to try anything (if she doesn't like it she throws it at Jack). If you offer her something better than what she has in her mouth, she will spit out the original food, to make room for the new yummier food. She LOVES books and brings them to us constantly to read them to her. Claire is a very steady walker and loves to show off her skills everywhere now. She loves to play with friends, but is also very good at making up her own games and playing quietly by herself.
Sleeping is still an issue, but she falls asleep all by herself now after playing in her crib. She still hates having her diaper changed and getting dressed. Claire is a very fun girl and we love her more each day!

1st Ear Infection :(
Instead of posting pictures of Claire wiping snot everywhere (which is what she is doing today) I thought I would post happier picture from Sunday. We headed back to the doctor's office this morning after a night filled with coughing and green snot. Claire was diagnosed with a double ear infection and a cold. Luckily her lungs still look good though. Hopefully Claire will do good on her first antibiotic. She took a dose with lunch and thought it was yummy. I was happily surprised that even though Claire has been sick she still managed to gain a couple ounces since last week, putting her at 14lbs 14 ounces.
Claire liked watching her daddy washing the car. I liked that daddy was washing a car that we own!!!! We made our last car payment on our Big Kia ( we are a 2 Kia family) this month, it's well over 100,000 miles, but we are hoping it has a lot of life left in it.
Jack got to come out too, he was not a fan of being on the long leash though. How cute is Claire's new pool! Thanks Grandma and Granddad Rice for the cool Easter present :)
Claire figured out she could reach over the side of the pool and play with grass.
We had a fun Sunday afternoon.

A sick little munchkin
We had a rough week. On Wednesday we met Claire's friend at Chick fil a for lunch. As we walked inside Claire threw up, everywhere. It was all over me, all over her, all over the floor. Everyone was very nice about it, you should have seen us trying to clean up in the bathroom, ugh! Once home Claire developed a fever which hit 103. She was slept most of the day and didn't want to leave my side, but by Thursday afternoon was ready to play again.
This is how we spent all of Wednesday.
All she wants to do is practice getting onto the couch.
Poor thing gets so frustrated when she can't do it :(
