I can't believe my tiny pound and a half baby turned 1 today. A year ago was one of the worst days of my life because I didn't think she would make it. I had to wait over 24 hours to even meet her and another week until I was allowed to hold her (now she won't let me put her down). I am happy to say her party was a success! I think everyone, including Claire had a great time. I know a lot of 1st birthday parties are adults, but Claire's was mostly kids her age, which made it even more fun. Claire of course LOVED her cupcake and dug in immediately. She loves sugar, but she's good about pushing away sweets when she is full. Claire was a lucky little girl and received lots of fun toys and clothes and even a new baby.

How wonderful and it is good to see that Claire's cousin, Isabella, was able to attend with Grandma and Grandpa Rice.
