My sister's baby was born on Monday morning. Baby Jacob weighed in at 6lbs 5 inches and already has about twice as much hair as his cousin Claire. Sadly Jacob has a paralyzed vocal cord and is having trouble breathing on his own. He was taken by ambulance to another hospital than his mommy. His parents still haven't been able to hold him because he has to have a tube in his mouth to help him breath. More test are being performed to see how the doctors need to proceed.
This whole thing is like a nightmare for our family. Meredith, more than anyone, needed a healthy baby to take home for the hospital. Prayers please for baby Jacob and his parents.

I couldn't get over your mother's phone message for me when I returned from KY the other night. Jacob and all of the family have been in my prayers and will continue to be. God bless all of you.
